
Students are
tested prior to placement in order to most effectively address their
academic needs.

Each term of
study is four weeks.
Full-time academic classes are held from 9:00a.m. to 3:00p.m. Monday
through Friday, with an optional TOEFL Study class from 3:10p.m. to
4:00p.m. twelve days of each term.
Each class consists of 4-12 students.

Preparation
ELC specializes in preparing students for the challenges of American
university classes. The Academic Program is also suitable for anyone
who would like to improve his English for business or personal purpose.
ELC is approved by the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education to
issue 12-week Certificates to fulfill Oklahoma's higher education
language requirements. Eighteen Oklahoma universities and colleges
accept this Certificate.
- Undergraduate: PAPER BASED TOEFL (IBTs or IELTS
equivalent) score of 460-497 followed by 12 weeks of satisfactory study
- Graduate: PAPER BASED TOEFL (IBTs or IELTS
equivalent)
score of 500-547 followed by 12 weeks of
satisfactory study

Each session, students plan parties and attend field trips and events
designed to be fun, culturally stimulating, and educational.
Accent reduction
Professional people with English as second language discover that by
reducing their accents they can be understood better, which improves
their business relationships.

This 4-8 week summer course is popular with secondary school students
who spend their summer holidays discovering life in America and
learning English. Many students who are currently enrolled in Oklahoma
secondary schools attend summer classes to improve their English and
their grades.

Professional groups arrange to attend this customized course in order
to better develop English skills for specific professions such as
business, trade, education, medicine, aviation, law, architecture, etc.
