Living Expenses: ELC charges no placement fee for a homestays.

Homestay with an American family – includes a private room, daily meals, and transportation to and from school. ($525 per month) All homestays are screened by ELC to insure that they are accommodating, sanitary, and safe for ELC students.

Most students who rent apartments share with friends. An apartment lease is usually for six months or one year and requires a deposit. The cost of a one or two bedroom apartment near ELC and the University of Central Oklahoma can range from $350 to $650 per month. Utilities, such as electricity and cable television, may be extra.

STUDENT OBLIGATIONS

According to USCIS ( U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services), F-1 students must be full-time students.

  • Students must attend the school to which they are assigned for a minimum of one (1) session.

  • Students are to report to ELC within ten (10) days of entering the U.S.

  • Full tuition is due before the first day of each session.

  • Students are to speak only English while at school.
